The conference will be held primarily at the Hub in Technology Park, Bentley (opposite Curtin University), shown in blue on the map below. The location for each day is specified on the meeting Schedule, which can be viewed in the side menu.

Catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) will be provided for in-person participants.

A webex link will be sent to registered participants the day prior to the event.

In-person participation

All meeting participants who are attending in-person are invited to the Sundowner and to the Perth Observatory - please see the links in the side menu for more information on these events and to register.

Getting here

Participants are requested to manage their own travel bookings. Information on travelling to Australia, including visa and requirements related to COVID-19, can be found at this link: www.homeaffairs.gov.au/covid19

For accommodation, we recommend Curtin University's on-campus hotel, Nesuto, which is only a 5-10 minute walk away from the conference venue. For a discounted rate, select the dates of the stay on the Nesuto website, then select “Add Code” and select Rate Access/ Corporate Group. Then add the code Curtin and the new cost per night will be displayed.

Any other accommodation can also be booked using a search for the venue address listed above. There are multiple food outlets available on campus and nearby at Waterford Karawara

Taxis, Uber, vehicle hire and public transport options are available at the airport and to help you get around town.

Please contact us if you require an invitation letter.

Things to do

Travellers to Perth in July can expect mild weather (10-18C) and mostly clear skies with the chance of rain, perfect for exploring. There are multiple activities planned during the week (refer to the 'Program' page) and many other places to discover, from Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, to the WA Museum Boola Bardip, or the iconic Blue Boatshed.

There is a lightshow at Kings Park, running all weekend. Registration (~$40pp) and transport to be organised by individual participants. Transport options: Uber, Taxi, Transperth. Note that sunset is at approximately 6pm.
