MWA Project Meeting: Lausanne, 2024

Overview

This year, we are very excited to hold the meeting in Switzerland, the MWA Collaboration's newest international collaborator.

Radio astronomers are invited to attend from Wednesday 28 August* to Friday 30 August 2024 at SCITAS-EPFL in Lausanne.

Our meeting will be held adjacent in time to the annual Swiss SKA Days, to take place in Geneva from 2-4 September 2024, so it will be a festival of international radio astronomy!

Details

The event will be held in-person, with remote participation facilitated online.

The Project Meeting begins on Wednesday, 28 August, starting with training in the morning exclusively for MWA Collaboration Members. Project meeting activities for both members and non-members will commence in the afternoon. In the evening, all attendees are invited to a Welcome Event: a relaxed BYOB BBQ under the arches of the Rolex Learning Centre. Food will be provided by SCITAS.

You can view the event's schedule by clicking the 'timetable' tab at the left-hand menu.

The time zone of the meeting will be that of the venue - Central European Time (AWST, UTC+1).

Travel details can be accessed on the relevant pages in the left-hand menu of this website.

Please do not hesitate to contact the LOC if you have any questions.

Registration

Registrations are OPEN for the MWA Project Meeting. Please register by accessing the form here, or through the Registration link in the left-hand menu of this page. Registrations for in-person attendance will close on 5 July, or earlier if venue capacity is reached.

There is no limit on remote attendance, but in-person attendance will be capped at 88, due to venue capacity limits. Accordingly, registration does not guarantee attendance

Online meeting links will be sent to registered participants' email addresses closer to the event.

Call for Abstracts

The call for abstracts is OPEN for the MWA Project Meeting. Abstracts for presentations must be submitted through this page, or can be accessed through the left-hand menu. Abstracts are due by 31 May, for consideration by the SOC.

Science Group Meetings

Discussion among attendees is highly encouraged. To facilitate collaboration and meaningful interactions among scientific groups, small breakout rooms are provided between sessions. Please reach out to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) to reserve a room for your discussions.
